Expancel® DET Microspheres are an ultra-lightweight filler used to make products feel better, look better and perform better.
Boud Minerals produce many different grades of Expancel® DET to offer a variety of particle sizes and densities, and to meet different requirements of chemical and temperature resistance.
Our microspheres have particle sizes ranging from 20 to 80 microns, with densities from 0.020 g/cm³ to 0.070 g/cm³.
Expancel® DET Microspheres are typically used in products and processes at ambient, or low, temperatures.
Elastic, flexible and resilient, Expancel® DET Microspheres can withstand higher mechanical stresses, during pumping, hard mechanical mixing or spraying, without being destroyed and losing their volume.
Expancel® DET is available as a dry powder or as, pre-wetted blends, Boud Microspheres. We also offer bespoke blends, repair kit assembly and different packaging options.
